Licensing
Flexible and customizable licensing options for Microsoft Dynamics ERP software are available to meet the unique needs of your business. Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions are available under the Business Ready Licensing program.
When licensing Microsoft Dynamics ERP products through Business Ready Licensing for on-premises deployments, licenses are required for user access to a Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution (including the functionality provided by the Microsoft Dynamics ERP components). Any user that directly or indirectly accesses the Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution must be licensed.
There are several levels of user license that are based upon the level of access each particular user needs.
Full Access via Microsoft Dynamics ERP Rich Client User Interface (UI). Users connecting to the solution through the Windows-based Microsoft Dynamics ERP rich client user UI may access all of the functionality included in the solution. These users require either a Business Essentials (BE) user license or an Advanced Management (AM) user license, depending on their functionality needs.
Extending the Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution. Microsoft enables customers to get the most out of their Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution by offering the ability to easily extend the reach of their solution to virtually everyone within their organization. Customers who have people with lighter needs can utilize the Limited access licenses . Limited access allows access to only to specific components of the ERP solution which help organizations extend the benefits of the ERP solution throughout their organization. Microsoft Dynamics ERP has a variety of financing options available for software, hardware, and service components so you can put the technology you need in place now while maintaining your cash reserves.
Total Solution Financing from Microsoft Financing is available in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K. and the U.S. Total Solution Financing is available only through specially qualified Microsoft partners. The Microsoft Dynamics Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP) offers multiple features that help maximize the value of your investment in Microsoft Dynamic ERP solutions. These benefits include the ability to upgrade to newer versions of the application when they become available, as well as to receive fixes, updates, service packs, and tax and regulatory releases. The standard Enhancement Plan length is one year. Three-year enrollment options may also be available. In most countries, organizations are required to enroll in the Enhancement Plan for the first year after purchase of a Microsoft Dynamics license. Enrollment begins on the date Microsoft invoices the partner for the Enhancement Plan.
