Microsoft Corporation India is one of the fastest growing subsidiaries of Microsoft Corporation, the worldwide leader in software, services, and solutions.

The Microsoft India story began in 1990, picked up greatly in the new millennium, and has grown steadily since then. Now, as India takes its place as a leader in the global knowledge economy, Microsoft continues to be an active partner in the country’s growth.

We believe that technology innovation is critical to sustainable economic growth and social development. At Microsoft India, we work on things that make a real difference in the lives of billions of people like you.

A new Microsoft. One Microsoft.

We have powered your devices for many years, but technology in today’s fast-paced, always-on world now allows us to bring more to your lives.

Today, Microsoft is transforming from a software firm to a devices and services company. This realignment in our strategy is helping us innovate faster and more efficiently. It is enabling us to empower you—people, businesses, and brands—to be more connected, more creative, and more effective.

We now put you right at the center of all your devices—your PC, phone, and tablet—to give you a single personal computing experience.

Our Mission

Microsoft’s business is transforming, but our mission and values stay the same. We understand your needs, goals, and concerns, and enable you to realize your full potential.

In India, we are a key IT partner to the government and the local IT industry, and also work closely with academia and the developer community. We constantly look for ways to enhance India’s inclusive development, and find great joy in delighting our users with transformative experiences.

Impacting lives, transforming businesses

Helping people and local communities reach their true potential with technology has always been one of Microsoft’s core values. We have been committed to help businesses grow and empower public sector bodies to be more efficient.

We partner with the Indian government to take IT to the grassroots with Microsoft e-governance solutions and our global Citizenship charter. We reach out to India’s underserved communities to build an inclusive society—by enhancing education, skill development, and enabling technology access.

Microsoft builds robust IT offerings to enable you to develop and share ideas, find solutions, and stay connected to what’s most important to you. We’re motivated and inspired that 95 percent of the enterprise workforce in India uses Microsoft platforms to create, contribute, and innovate.
