Time is money in auto financing

Volkswagen Financial Services wanted to improve the performance and scalability of their enterprise web-based applications that are delivered to dealers worldwide. They also wanted to reduce IT costs. Microsoft Services consultants supported Volkswagen by providing deep technical knowledge for implementing a private cloud proof-of-concept, tracking down answers to questions, and generally smoothing the way for deployment. The company has seen a 36 percent increase in the performance of some applications, which helps to win financing deals. By using Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft System Center 2012, the company will be able to manage more applications with fewer people. The solution is expected to trim web server configuration time by 50 percent and overall infrastructure management costs by 20 percent.

Bank saves $100,000 and lowers IT work by 20 percent

Sberbank had already virtualized its data centers extensively but sought greater automation, lower enterprise business costs, and faster failover between their main and backup data centers. Its upgrade to the Windows Server 2012 operating system is estimated to save US$100,000 over a third-party solution, reduce IT administrative workload by 20 percent, decrease downtime, and allow IT to respond faster to business needs. Sberbank received assistance from Microsoft Services for both consulting and support.
