Benefits

Windows Deployment Services role can be used to set up new computers through a network-based installation without the IT Professional having to be physically present at each computer and without having to install directly from CD or DVD media.

The benefits include:

  • Rapid and efficient deployment of Windows operation systems. This results in better time to value and lower costs associated with deploying new operating system environments.

  • Remote installation – results in lower management costs and more efficient deployment as installations can be done remotely.

  • Easier manageability and upgrades – operating software can be installed without the need for physical media from CD or DVD media.
