What if your software company or startup could be connected with the applications needs of an ecosystem of Asian governments, NGOs, enterprises, SMBs and local communities? What if your company could provide a solution for one of the unmet needs of one of these organizations?
Microsoft and the Asian Development Bank are collaborating to identify - and bring to ISVs and startups - the applications needs of thousands of government agencies, tens of thousands of Asian businesses, and millions of people throughout Asia. This collaboration will both introduce your ISV or startup to a huge span of application opportunities across Asia and help you showcase your applications to that massive potential market.
To assist you, Microsoft will be holding a number of ”Apps For Asia” contests in Australia, Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines. Each contest will introduce ISVs like yours to the elicited/known needs of thousands of end-users across Asia. The events will increase your knowledge of Microsoft’s Cloud platform, Windows Azure, and show you how to develop Windows, Apple iOS or Android applications using the cloud. We’ll show you how to use a number of different programming languages, platforms and tools, to address these real-world needs. When you decide on what application you’re going to build we’ll provide you with the technical and architectural consulting and support to help you both at the contest itself and for the next few months thereafter.
Not only are we looking to introduce ISVs like yours to Asia’s huge demand for applications but we’ll also pay for a chosen number of the best ISVs to travel to the Asian Development Bank Annual Board of Governor's Meeting in Delhi and showcase their applications to thousands of key attendees there. We’ll also be marketing all approved applications online to all the Asian Development Bank member countries.
