Sharing Microsoft downloads on your website

Now you can easily share Microsoft downloads with your customers on your website. Just follow these steps:

1. In the Microsoft Download Center, use the search option to locate the download you would like to share. Notice whether there are multiple downloads available on the page. The steps for sharing differ when the page has more than one download available.
   
   
2. If there is only one download available, follow these steps:
   
   

   1. Double-click the Download button to go to the confirmation page (for example, http://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/download/confirmation.aspx?id=1). The page that opens is the confirmation page.
      
      
      
      
   2. Hover your cursor over the Start download link.
   3. Right-click the link, and select the Copy shortcut option.
   4. Open Notepad, and paste the link into Notepad
   5. From the link you pasted into Notepad, copy the series of characters (in red) after "srcfamilyid="
   6. Save this ID for now.
      
      
      
      
   If there are multiple downloads available, follow these steps:
   
   
   
   

   1. Go to the page that includes the Download buttons (for example, http://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/download/details.aspx?id=26795).
   2. Hover your cursor over the border of one of the Download buttons (not inside the body of the button) until the cursor turns into a hand.
      
      
      
      
   3. Right-click the link, and select the Copy shortcut option.
   4. Open Notepad, and paste the link into notepad.
   5. From the link you pasted into Notepad, copy the series of characters (in red) after "srcfamilyid="
   6. Save this ID for now.
      
      
      
      
3. Copy the code that follows, and paste it into your HTML file:

4. In the code, highlight REPLACE THIS, and paste in the ID you saved (the string of letters and numbers that immediately followed "familyid=").
5. The download on your site should look like the following example:
