The reason could be that you have hidden or disabled folders using the Advanced IMAP Controls options in Google Apps.

To fix this in the Nokia Messaging service:

  1. Browse to http://email.nokia.com  (but don’t use chrome as it has issues with the website).
  2. Login with your Nokia Messaging User ID and the password.
  3. Select Edit settings on the problematic email address.
  4. In the Mail folders to sync uncheck subfolder, which is not checked on the Google Apps.
  5. Select Save changes.
