      Trend Micro OfficeScan Corporate Edition Update Scripts were jointly developed by Microsoft and Trend Micro. They allow Trend Micro’s antivirus software to automatically update its virus definition files on computers running the Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP with Windows Disk Protection enabled.

    Instructions

      1. Restart the shared computer to ensure recent disk changes are cleared.

      2. Log on as the Shared Computer Toolkit administrator.

      3. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit, and then click Windows Disk Protection.

      4. Click Save changes with next restart, and then click OK. A restart of the shared computer will not occur at this time.

      5. Download the file AntiVirusUpdates.xml to %SCTPATH%\xml and the file SCTTrendMicroAntiVirus.vbs to %SCTPATH%\scripts\update
        Note: By default the full path is %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit\

      6. Schedule the updates to occur at the same hour and day(s) as the schedule you set for critical updates in the Windows Disk Protection tool. The Windows Disk Protection tool critical updates process will wait at least 10 minutes for other updates to be completed concurrently before it restarts the computer to save disk changes.

      7. Restart the shared computer.

      8. When the shared computer restarts, Windows saves your changes to the Windows partition and automatically returns to Clear changes with each restart setting.
