  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Pack for Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 Remote Desktop Services Server Role

        1. Click the Download button to start downloading the Configuration Pack .msi file.
        2. Double-click the .msi file to launch the installation and then complete the installation wizard pages.
        3. Remember the location of the installation folder (the default folder location is %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Remote Desktop Services Server Role BPA Configuration Pack).
        4. Read the BPA DCM Configuration Pack User Guide (a Word document in the installation folder) and follow the instructions in this guide to deploy the System Center Best Practices Analyzer Extension on the target computers running the Remote Desktop Services server role. Note: To complete this step, use the second .msi file
        5. Note: To complete this step, use the second .msi file (SystemCenterConfigurationManagerBPAExtension.msi) located in in the same installation folder.
        6. Import the BPA DCM configuration packs (the .cab files in the installation folder) into System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, and then assign the imported baselines to the target computers performing the Remote Desktop Services server role.
