This documentation describes how to use Modifier with VBA, which is a customization tool used to modify the appearance and functionality of any Microsoft Dynamics GP window.

      This download includes the following help files:
      • Modifier Help (Mod.chm): Includes the Modifier User's Guide in HTML Help format, with additional help for Modifier windows.
      • VBA Help (VBA.chm): Includes the VBA Developer's Guide in HTML Help format.

      Guides (Modifier VBA Manuals PDF.exe or Modifier VBA Manuals XPS.exe)
      This download includes the following files in either PDF or XPS format:
      • Modifier Quick Start (ModifierQuickStart.pdf or ModifierQuickStart.xps): Includes an overview of Modifier and specific lessons.
      • Modifier User's Guide (ModifierUsersGuide.pdf or ModifierUsersGuide.xps): Explains how to modify forms and the user interface. Also describes the Forms dictionary, how to control access to modifications you have created, and how to make global modifications.
      • VBA Developer's Guide (VBADevelopersGuide.pdf or VBADevelopersGuide.xps) Explains how to program windows, window fields, grids, and reports. Also describes how to store application data and distribute projects, and includes reference information about properties and events for objects.

      • To view the PDF files, you will need a PDF reader, such as the free Adobe Reader.
      • To view the XPS files, you will need Windows Vista or the Microsoft XML Paper Specification Essentials Pack.

      1. Click Download to download the guides or help files.
      2. Save the file to your computer.
      3. To extract the help file or guides from the .exe files, double-click the.exe file on your computer.
      4. When prompted for a location for the Help files, we recommend that you save them to the appropriate folder in your Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 installation folder, so you can access the updated Help from within the product. By default, this location C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\.
      5. Repeat these steps on each computer where you want to install the guides or help, or save the files to a shared folder where other others can access them.
