Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Tools Documentation: Integration Manager

This documentation describes how to use Integration Manager, which is an integration tool used to convert and transfer data from most database formats or desktop applications into Microsoft Dynamics GP.

      You can use this page to download the following documentation components:
      • Integration Manager Quick Start (IMQuickStart.pdf or IMQuickStart.xps): Explains Integration Manager terminology and contains lessons for creating a basic data integration for General Ledger. You should have experience working with data in a tabular format before using this manual.
      • Integration Manager User’s Guide (IMUsersGuide.pdf or IMUsersGuide.xps): Describes how to install Integration Manager and explains how to create and run integrations. Also describes how to use VBScript and includes adapter reference information. Before using this manual, you should know how to set up an ODBC data source and execute queries using SQL statements, and also be familiar with VBScript syntax.
      • Integration Manager Help (IMHelp.exe): Includes information about using Integration Manager, with additional help for Integration Manager windows.

      • To view the PDF files, you will need a PDF reader, such as the free Adobe Reader.
    • To download the PDF or XPS files:
      1. Click Download to download the manuals in PDF file or XPS file format.
      2. Save the files to your computer

      To download the .exe file:
      1. Click Download to download the help as an .exe file.
      2. Save the file to your computer.
      3. To extract the help file from the .exe file, double-click the IMHelp.exe file on your computer.
      4. When prompted for a location for the .chm file, we recommend that you save it to the appropriate folder in your Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 installation folder, so you can access the updated help from within the product. By default, this location C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\Integration Manager 2010.

      Repeat these steps on each computer where you want to install the guide or help, or save the files to a shared folder where other others can access them.
    • If you use Microsoft Dynamics GP in any country/region other than the United States, contact the sales/support office in your country/region for information about configurations that have been tested with Integration Manager. In some countries/regions, Integration Manager must be used on an “admin” installation of the client software that uses the U.S. dictionary and runs on a U.S. version of the operating system.
