      The Microsoft .NET Framework Software Development Kit (SDK) v2.0 (IA64) includes tools, documentation and samples developers need to write, build, test, and deploy .NET Framework applications on IA64 platforms.

      You must install the .NET Framework Redistributable Package version 2.0 (IA64) prior to installing the .NET Framework SDK (IA64).

    Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition for 64-Bit Itanium-Based Systems, Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition for Itanium-based Systems, Windows XP for Itanium-based Systems Version 2003

      • Required Software:

      • o NET Framework v2.0 (IA64): You must install the .NET Framework v2.0 (IA64) prior to installing the .NET Framework SDK (IA64).
        o 64 bit support: requires the latest 64-bit version of either Windows Server 2003 SP1 or XP Professional X64 Edition and a supported IA64 compatible 64-bit CPU.


      Visual Studio 2005 Users: If you have already installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (except the Express Editions), you do not need to install the .NET Framework SDK separately. Visual Studio 2005 includes the SDK as one of the optional components to install during Visual Studio 2005 setup.
  • Install Instructions

      1. Important: Make sure you have the latest service pack and critical updates for the version of Windows that you are running. To find recent security updates, visit Windows Update.
      2. Click the Download button on this page to start the download
      3. Do one of the following:
        • To start the installation immediately, click Run.
        • To save the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save.
        • To cancel the installation, click Cancel.
