      Service Pack 4 (SP4) allows existing eVC4 users to target Windows CE 5.0 based devices. In addition to supporting the new Windows CE 5.0 platform, SP4 is cumulative in nature and includes support for Windows CE 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 based platforms as well. This download must be installed on top of existing eVC4 installations.

      To use Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 SP4 you need the following:

      • A desktop computer with a Pentium-II class processor, 450 MHz or faster
      • Microsoft Windows® 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or higher, or Microsoft
      • Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or higher.
      • 96 MB (128 MB recommended) memory for Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional. 192 MB (256 MB recommended) memory for Windows 2000 Server.

      • CD-ROM drive required

      • VGA or higher-resolution monitor. A Super VGA (800 x 600 or larger) monitor is recommended.

      • Mouse or compatible pointing device.

      • 200 MB hard disk space.

      • Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 (SP1 or SP2 or SP3 optional)
  • Install Instructions

    • Click the Download link to start the download, or choose a different language from the drop-down list and click Go.

    • Do one of the following:

    • To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.

    • To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
