Overview

Microsoft Project 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) provides the latest product updates for Microsoft Project 2000. Before you install this update, make sure that you currently have Microsoft Project 2000 installed on your machine.

To install this download

1. You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
2. Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link at the top left of this page and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
3. Double-click the p9sr1.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

1. Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link at the top left of this page and following the instructions in the dialog box.
2. Extract the installation files from the downloaded file:
   • On the Microsoft Windows Start menu, click Run, and then click Browse.
   • Browse to the downloaded file, select the file p9sr1.exe, and then click Open.
   • On the command line following p9sr1.exe, type the following to extract the files:
     
     /C /T:C:\MSPRJPCH
     
     For example:
     c:\>DESTINATION FOLDER>\P9SR1.EXE /C /T:C:\MSPRJPCH
   • Click OK.
3. To update the administrative installation of Microsoft Project 2000, on the Microsoft Windows Start menu, click Run, and then type:
   
   MSIEXEC.EXE /A \\>SERVER\SHARE>\>PATH TO CURRENT ADMINISTRATIVE INSTALLATION>\INSTALL.MSI /P C:\MSPRJPCH\MSPRJSR1.MSP SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE
   
   Example
   Msiexec /a C:\AdmInst\Install.msi /p C:\Temp\msprjsr1.msp shortfilenames=true
4. Follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard to finish updating the installation.
