Overview
Word 2002 Update: October 16, 2002 offers you the highest levels of
stability and security available for Microsoft Word 2002. This update prevents
users from unintentionally updating links to external data within Word 2002
documents, including e-mail messages that use Word 2002 as the mail editor in
Microsoft Outlook. This Word 2002 update is part of Microsoft's continued effort
to provide the latest product updates to customers.

this update, you must have the following:
- Office XP Service Pack 2.
- Microsoft
Windows Installer version 2.0 or later. Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 and Microsoft
Windows XP include this version of the Windows Installer. Otherwise, the
latest version of Windows Installer is available as a separate download at the
