Microsoft® Office OneNote® 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) contains new features and significant security enhancements, in addition to stability and performance improvements. Some of the fixes included with SP2 have been previously released as separate updates. This service pack combines them into one update.
This service pack also includes updates previously released for OneNote 2003:
OneNote 2003 SP2 will install even if a service pack has already been installed on your computer.

Office Communicator 2005 and OneNote® 2003 SP2
If
you are using Office Communicator 2005, you should exit Office Communicator by right-clicking on the Communicator icon in the
system tray and choosing "Exit" prior to installing OneNote 2003 SP2. If you do not exit Communicator, you will be required to
reboot your computer after OneNote 2003 SP2 has been installed. For more information, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (905726):
You are prompted to restart the computer when you install an update to the Mso.dll file on a computer that is running Microsoft Office Communicator.

Installation instructions
To install this update, do one of the following:
- Use the Microsoft Update or Office Update detection Web sites (recommended). Both sites automatically detect Office and prompt you to install updates and service packs that bring Office programs up to date.
- Install only Microsoft Office OneNote® 2003 SP2. To do this, follow these steps:
- Download the .exe file by clicking the Download button at the top of this page, and then save the file to your hard disk drive.
- It is recommended that you quit any programs you are running.
- In Windows Explorer, double-click the .exe file that you saved to your hard disk drive, and follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: OneNote 2003 SP2 is included on the Office 2003 SP2 CD-ROM, which is now available. Visit the Office Online page Order Office Service Packs on CD-ROM to begin the ordering process.

After you install this update, use OneNote 2003 as you typically would.
To remove this download:
There is no uninstall feature for this download. For more information, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (873125): You cannot remove service packs for Office 2003 products.
