        The Group Chat Administration Tool is used to create categories and chat rooms, define their scope and membership, create federated users and groups, manage how users can use the chat rooms, and specify which users are administrators and managers.
    • Supported Operating System

      Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista Service Pack 1

        1. Log on to the computer on which you want to install the Group Chat Administration Tool.
        2. Run AdminSetup.exe.
        3. On the Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Group Chat Administration Tool Setup wizard start page, click Next.
        4. On the End-User License Agreement page, review the license agreement, click I accept the terms in the license agreement to proceed, and then click Next.
        5. On the Install Location page, the default location is <systemdrive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2\Group Chat Administration Tool\.
        6. Click Next.
        7. On the Confirm Installation page, click Next.
        8. After the progress bar indicates that the process is complete, the Installation Complete message appears, and the Group Chat Administration Tool icon appears on the desktop.
        9. Click Close.
