        This series of Hands-On Labs is related to the guide Developing Muti-tenant Applications for the Cloud on Microsoft Windows Azure. The individual labs correlate with the chapters of the guide, and demonstrate or expand upon the techniques shown in the guide. The Labs are designed to enhance your understanding of the Windows Azure platform through practical, hands-on work with the sample Surveys application developed by the fictitious Tailspin company.

        • Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, or Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 1 (32 bit or 64 bit editions)
        • Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0
        • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate, Premium, or Professional edition with Service Pack 1 installed, or Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate, Premium, or Professional edition
        • Windows Azure SDK for .NET (includes the Visual Studio Tools for Windows Azure)
        • Microsoft SQL Server 2012, SQL Server Express 2012, SQL Server 2008, or SQL Server Express 2008
        • MVC 4 Framework
        • Windows Identity Foundation
        • WebAii testing framework (required only to run the functional tests)
        1. Click the 'Download Now' link to start the download.
        2. Save the file to your hard drive. The samples are packaged as a self-extractable zip file.
        3. Run the file and accept the End User Licensing Agreement to proceed. After accepting the license, files will be extracted to your chosen destination. This must not be a folder in your profile. Use a folder near the root of your drive with a short name to avoid issues with the length of filenames.
