      The luapkg.exe file provides necessary support files for Windows Application Verifier and Compatibility Administrator that are missing in Windows XP. These files are included in Service Pack 1 for Windows XP. If you have installed Service Pack 1 for Windows XP you do not need to install luapkg.exe.

      The luapkg.exe file contains files that were formally distributed in the ACTPKG.EXE file in the Application Compatibility Toolkit.

    Install Instructions
      Important: Download the file to a folder on the local computer or an accessible network folder. Double click the luapkg.exe file to install the fix.

      1. Click the Download link to start the download.
      2. Do one of the following:
        • To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
        • To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
