Virtual Machine Manager Configuration Analyzer (VMMCA) is a diagnostic tool that verifies configuration settings and minimum system requirements for your computer that are important to running Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM). VMMCA scans your environment and reports common configuration issues and suggests best practices. You can run VMMCA before or after installing VMM.
Please use this version of VMMCA with Virtual Machine Manager 2007 only.

Windows Server 2003 x64 editions, Windows Vista Business 64-bit edition, Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit edition, Windows XP 64-bit
• Prerequisite Software: Microsoft Baseline Configuration Analyzer v1.0
• Supported Processor Type: 64-bit only
Note: VMMCA can be installed only on a computer with 64-bit processor, but can be used to scan both 32-bit and 64-bit computers.

1. Download and install Microsoft Baseline Configuration Analyzer v1.0
2. On this page, click Download to start the download of VMMCA.
3. In the File Download dialog box, do one of the following:
a. To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
b. To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
4. To start the installation after saving the download, double click VMMCA.msi.
5. After reading and accepting the end-user license agreement, click Next.
6. Accept the default installation folder or click Change to browse to a folder in which to install VMMCA and then click Next.
7. Click Install to begin Setup.
8. Click Finish to complete Setup.
