Supported Operating System
Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP
CAPICOM is also supported on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Windows 98 requires Internet Explorer 6 SP1 or better.
CAPICOM is excluded from the Windows SDK beginning with the Windows SDK for Windows 7, and although the distributable will run on 32-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems, its use is not recommended. For more information, see Alternatives to Using CAPICOM.

1. Download the file by clicking on the "Download" button.
2. Select "Save” and specify a directory on your local disk.
3. Install the package by running the self-extracting executable file. This will create a directory structure containing the redistributable and samples.
