      In June 2010, the Microsoft DirectX SDK release included a new High Level Shading Language (HLSL) feature enabling the compiler to auto-magically generate derivative computations of functions. The new Symbolic Derivative operator F’() helps developers reduce authoring and maintenance pain for advanced shader creation using the HLSL compiler.
