        These samples illustrate the creation of a multitenant application built with .NET to the Windows Azure platform that takes advantage of many of the features of Windows Azure and SQL Azure.

      Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2012

        • Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0
        • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate, Premium, or Professional edition with Service Pack 1 installed
        • Windows Azure SDK for .NET (includes the Visual Studio Tools for Windows Azure)
        • Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Express 2008
        • MVC 3 Framework
        • Windows Identity Foundation. This is required for claims-based authorization.
        • WebAii. Place this in the Lib folder of the examples.
        • Moq version 4.0.10501.6. Open the Properties dialog and unblock the zip file after you download it and before you extract the contents. Place the contents in the Lib folder of the examples.
        • Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting Library V4. Place this in the Lib folder of the examples.
        • Enterprise Library 5 (required assemblies are included in the source code folders)
        • Unity 2.0 (required assemblies are included in the source code folders)
        1. Click the 'Download Now' link to start the download.
        2. Save the file to your hard drive. The samples are packaged as a self-extractable zip file.
        3. Run the file and accept the End User Licensing Agreement to proceed.
        4. The files will be extracted to your chosen destination folder. This must not be a folder in your profile. Use a folder near the root of your drive with a short name to avoid issues with the length of filenames.
        5. See the "Readme.htm" and "Release Notes.htm" files for information about the specific versions required, and installing and configuring the examples.
