These sample applications demonstrate how to build easily testable applications that target Windows Phone OS 7.1. Specifically, the sample applications demonstrate consuming location data, performing navigation, persisting data to and from isolated storage, consuming sensor data, and using a chooser to take a photo. Each sample application is purely for demonstration purposes, and is not representative of the standard required to pass certification and be eligible for listing in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Supported Operating System

Microsoft Windows Vista® operating system (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (all editions except Starter Edition) or Microsoft Windows 7 (x86 and x64) (all editions except Starter Edition)
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional, Premium, or Ultimate edition
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SP1
- Windows Phone 7.1 SDK
The Visual Studio solution uses features such as unit testing and folders, which are not currently available on Visual Studio Express.
To run the unit tests, you will also need:
- Silverlight unit test framework for Windows Phone
- Moq for .NET 4

- Click the 'Download Now' link to commence the download.
- Save the file to your hard drive.
- The samples are packaged as a self-extractable zip file. When run, you'll have to accept the End User Licensing Agreement to proceed.
- After accepting the license, files will be extracted to chosen destination.
- The samples will require the Windows Phone 7.1 SDK to work.
- Open "readme.txt" file for extra details.
