      This companion guide to the Windows Server 2012 Core Network Guide provides instructions for deploying BranchCache in hosted cache mode. When you deploy BranchCache in hosted cache mode, Windows 8 client computers that are BranchCache-enabled download content from Web and file servers, and then the content is cached on a hosted cache server in the branch office. When other clients request the same content, they receive the content from the local hosted cache, saving wide area network (WAN) bandwidth and improving file access times.
