Organizations with multiple legal entities can set up the same information in those legal entities. Information such as fiscal calendars, currencies, exchange rates, and the chart of accounts is shared between the legal entities, per data partition. Prior to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, this setup and maintenance had to be completed for each legal entity. In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, you can set up the data once and share it across multiple legal entities.
