Research shows that innovative teaching practices, combined with technology are two key factors that lead to students' acquisition of 21st century skills. If you are an individual Microsoft education trainer, consider joining other expert educators and become part of the Microsoft Educator Network training provider program to teacher other educators about how to use Microsoft products in the classroom.

How to Apply


  • Register and create a profile on Microsoft Educator Network.
  • Go to www.mietrainer.com, complete the application.
  • Attend an in person Building Educator Capacity Train the Trainer session OR webcast and learn about Microsoft technologies and services in education. Learn More
  • Complete a brief assessment.
  • Once you have trained or coached 100 or more educators and have recorded these trainings, you will be awarded the MIE Trainer certificate.

Organization: Become a Microsoft education training partner in the U.S.

Training organizations focused on teacher training and professional development provide valuable training to teachers who want to learn how to use Microsoft products in the classroom. If you are a training organization that delivers Microsoft in Education product training to educators, you may be interested in becoming a Microsoft education training partner.

    • Complete a brief assessment after registering for the Training Provider program
    • Once you have trained or coached 100 or more educators and have recorded these trainings in the Microsoft Innovative Educator Training Tracker, you will be awarded the Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer certificate.
