Collaboration rules at the 2013 Worldwide Partner Conference

Every year at the Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), Microsoft recognizes a distinguished group of organizations that have demonstrated excellence in delivering innovative customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. This summer, we were proud to celebrate Eurostep Group AB as the 2013 Public Sector Public Safety & National Security Partner of the Year.

In this time of austerity, militaries around the world are more focused than ever on extending the life of their existing platforms, and defense organizations’ transformation is driven primarily by cost reduction programs. At the same time, managing the increased complexity of configuration management and supply chain management with limited resources presents an enormous challenge to defense services across land, air, and sea systems.

Eurostep’s Share-A-Space solution enables secure Product Lifecycle Management collaboration across enterprises and engineering domains like never before. Based on the ISO standard for Product Life Cycle Support, Share-A-Space has enabled organizations like the Swedish, Dutch and Danish Ministries of Defense, the French Ministry of Defense, Volvo, Scania, BAE Systems and many others to integrate their supply chains with lower costs, higher productivity, and quicker setup time in an industry where fast, flexible solutions are critical to citizen safety.

Eurostep has been a valuable partner in defense logistics for the past two years, and combined with the power of Microsoft enterprise platforms such as SQL, BizTalk, and SharePoint, the Share-a-Space technology establishes the future infrastructure for collaboration in both defense and industry.

We look forward to working with the Eurostep team to help lead the next generation of defense supply chain services. Stay tuned for more exciting news from our collaboration, including a new Windows 8 app that will make it easier than ever for defense and industry organizations to enable effective, efficient life cycle support services.

Congratulations to Eurostep and to all our finalists! If you’re interested in nominating your company for a WPC Award in 2014, keep an eye on the Digital WPC website for updates, information and forms. We look forward to seeing you next year.
