Amalga: the central tool for connecting care.

Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO)
Through Amalga, HIEs and RHIOs are able to mobilize healthcare information electronically across organizations in a region or community, seamlessly and rapidly bringing together current data from a wide variety of clinics and hospital departments and making it shareable.
Accountable Care Organization (ACO)
With Amalga, ACOs can rapidly gain longitudinal, person-centric, and population views of patient data stored across multiple sites and providers. The ability to view a broad set of individual and population patient data helps identify ways to improve the quality of care, maximize efficiencies, improve care coordination across the community, and reduce costs.
Microsoft HealthVault
Patients can choose to share information stored in their Microsoft HealthVault accounts with their providers. Using Amalga, organizations can leverage this data with existing medical records to provide a more complete view of a patient’s situation and proactively optimize care.
Medical Imaging Module for Microsoft Amalga
The Medical Imaging Module for Microsoft Amalga displays medical images from disparate systems located across your organizations, including the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and organizes them in the context of a complete patient history within an existing workflow. Amalga also enables organizations to allow referring physicians and remote users to access medical images and associated patient data from their own workstations. This collaboration streamlines processes, promotes operational efficiency and cost savings, and helps reduce risks from duplicative exams and procedures.
Research
Amalga enables researchers and organizations in the field of Life Sciences to quickly and easily aggregate clinical data and insights from data silos, clinical workflows, and point-of-care data. This platform allows researchers to both discover underlying data relationships and help manage definitive trials. Amalga empowers research teams to manage data rapidly through the life cycle of a clinical research study.
