The Nokia 928 is an awesome phone great apps, most free. Its also rugged, just an all around great phone. I got mine when I watched the reveiws on the loudest speaker a cell phone has, plus the music hd app is free and its 32g memory isn't bad either .

  • I try to keep things simple. This 928 helps me do just that. Less swiping, touching, tapping, scrolling than I see others do with more "exotic" .

  • Feel in love with Nokia phones after having the 928

    Overall Rating

I had this phone for over 2 years through Verizon and it has exceeded what I expected from it. After dropping it over 20 times (1 time in the toilet), left out in the rain over night, cracked screen, it still lasted at least 2 years. The performance was hands down outstanding.

    Overall Rating

Windows phone is constantly losing the apps I like or only have beta versions so they are never up to date and they don't work correctly. The speakers have deteriorated to the point where I can't answer most of my phone calls. Sometimes it claims to have sent my text messages and emails but doesn't for hours on end then delivers all of them simultaneous. I have tried to fix this, I have had it looked at but was told this is just what happens when a phone reaches the end of its lifespan. I have had it for a year and half. DO NOT GET A WINDOS PHONE.

Bought two, one for me and one for my wife so that I could help her learn as we both used the units. There are two frustrations I have with the phone - when it is plugged in, it cannot be turned off - increases charging time. Battery life once I downloaded Cortana has been dramatically reduced, especially when combined with other GPS associated apps. Other than those issues, I've been truly happy - as has my wife, and this is her first smart phone!

It's amazing to me that Nokia is struggling for market share when they put out products like these. Build quality like a Rolex... feels, looks and sounds great. Makes any A**le product look like overpriced trash.

  • Great Phone For Business

    Overall Rating

The reason I tried the Nokia 928 after Android and IPhone is to have the seamless integration of Microsoft Exchange Server. Sure, there are lots of apps for the other phones, but no one app "Gets it right". The reason that I don't have 5 stars is that my phone occasionally reboots and my Verizon "Visual Voice mail" has glitches that they can't seem to resolve. I think it is a bad SIM, which I will get them to swap with the Nokia Icon.

  • Best phone I have ever owned

    Overall Rating
    ★★★★★ ★★★★★

This phone is the only phone that I have actually kept over my two year contract and not had to replace it once. It has a great camera. It is very durable. I have only had it in a rubber case with a screen protector on it and it is still like new after two years of hard use. There is a lot more storage space on it than most phones I felt like. The battery life is great I keep mine on batter save mode 24/7 though but that is mainly because I do not like receiving notifications from my email or Facebook all the time. I rather just check that when I have the time to. The only downfall to the phone it is a Windows product so there apps are limited. They used to have some knock off types of some popular apps for like snap chat but no longer provide them. Hopefully they will soon because I plan on sticking with the windows brand for a very long time.

  • Good at first, went downhill fast.

I've had this phone for a little over a year, and I was very happy with it at first. The camera is fantastic. But a couple months ago it stopped holding a charge, dying quickly and dying at at least 5% if not occasionally dying at 10 or 13%. And as I'm typing this, my screen has gone completely black and unresponsive and none of the tips I've read online is fixing it. I would only get this phone if you can afford to replace it probably once a year.

  • Audio problems

    Overall Rating

I've had the phone for six months. It has been great -- until all of a sudden I'm having severe audio problems when on a phone call. The other party drops in and out. Every other word is lost. It has nothing to do with the cellular signal (Verizon). Can't determine what is the problem. Sometimes it works fine. It is not the person I'm calling or the location. Other end can hear me. Happens with case on and case off. It doesn't happen with streaming music or stored audio. Just on voice calls. A mystery.

  • Worst Phone I have ever own!

    Overall Rating
    ★★★★★ ★★★★★

I have had the phone for 18 months now ..... problems started after about 6 months. I could not end a call. The call screen could not be recalled to end a call. The problem continued until the Windows 8.1 updated. Suddenly not more end call problems .... but started having problems with the battery. After charging the phone continued to indicate it was charging. Then suddenly nothing. After removing it from the charger the phone failed to turn on. Never again! I am 6 months short of being able to update my phone with Verizon ..... so bought a new LG phone.

New to windows, but would recommend to anyone. Easy to use, great to use. Had it over a year still learning. New updates daily. Sirius doesn't have nothing on cortana. Face it, no phone is perfect but for $30 bucks restocking fee, I won't complain. Thanks Nokia 928, also great camera.

  • Great phone, Windows App store is negative, issues with earpiece, sound

    Overall Rating
    ★★★★★ ★★★★★

This is my third Windows phone. First the Kin, then the 822 and now the 928. I have always found the Nokia interfaces to be really user friendly and the Live Tiles are a great feature. The Windows App store does not have the latest apps that the Apple or Android store would have. But most of the major ones are there. However, some of the Windows apps are created by Microsoft rather than the original developers so sometimes, such as in the case with Facebook app, they don't have the same features as the iPhone app and are inferior in some ways. (I also own an iPhone for work so I carry 2 phones and can compare easily). Microsoft really has to work on a partnership with Google so that their Nokia phones can use the apps from Android, or else they will always continue to be an also ran in the smartphone area. Most users want the best and latest apps. And Windows store just doesn't provide it. Reliability for my Windows/Nokia phones has been an issue. My 822 stopped working after close to 2 years (just under time I had before I could upgrade for free). My 928 has an issue with the phone ear speaker not working a lot recently. When on calls, a lot of times, I have to resort to using the speakerphone. This is apparently a well known and relatively common problem with the 928. Which is a huge disappointment as there is no fix for this problem apparently. It has to do with the headphone jack and the contacts in there not working correctly. Also, it seems that Verizon is now practically given up on Windows phones. They are not even advertised on Verizon wireless website anymore and you barely see it in the stores. This is so unfortunate as I really love the Windows OS and I think the integration with Microsoft OneCloud and Office is fantastic. I also think the Nokia cameras are the best on the cellphone market. I was looking forward to buying the latest Nokia phone on Verizon but I don't think I will even have that chance anymore. I may have to stick to using 2 iphones. I would have given 4 starts to this phone but because of the issues above I had to reduce to 3 stars, due to reliability issues.

Microsoft has missed their mark again with making something that was made for people. If all you did with the phone was business, then you're probably fine. If you want to experience anything else, you're likely to be extremely disappointed.
