How do I set Mail for Exchange on my Nokia E71x (AT&T) device?

With Mail for Exchange, you can wirelessly access your email, calendar, and contacts from your Microsoft Exchange account. Before setting up Mail for Exchange, you need your Domain, Mail for Exchange server name, username and password. (Contact your company’s IT help desk for this information.)

After successfully registering, your e-mail accounts appear in Menu > Messaging > Messages.

Register e-mail accounts

  1. Select Menu > Messaging > Set up Em > Start > Mail for Exch.
  2. Enter the e-mail address and select OK.
  3. Enter the password and select OK.
  4. Enter the user name and select OK.
  5. Enter the domain and select OK.
  6. Enter the server name and select OK.
  7. Select OK to start the download, and Yes to install.
  8. Select Continue to verify certificate validity.
  9. Select Continue to close the notification window and complete the download.
  10. Select Options > Exit to complete the setup process.
  11. Select Yes to enable auto lock.
  12. Select OK to set auto lock timer.
  13. Select Yes to change lock code.
  14. Select Yes to continue the set up lock code if lock code expired.
  15. Select Unlock and enter the current lock code, the default lock code is 12345.
  16. Enter a new lock code, need to be at least 6 digits.
  17. Enter the new lock code again for verification.

After successfully registering, your e-mail accounts appear in Menu > Messaging > Messages.

Note: When using Mail for Exchange, you may be requested to enter your lock code. The default lock code for your device is 12345. If you reset and forgot the lock code, the device will need to repair to have the lock code reset.
