Warranty verification is valid for the following 10 days. Please note that there are some exceptions to warranty. For example the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty does not cover liquid or physical damage. Check the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty for warranty coverage and exceptions.

If your device has physical or liquid damage, there are third party vendors that may be able to repair your out of warranty device such as Palco Telecom: www.palcocellphonerepair.com. Note that Microsoft is not responsible for the pricing, service, quality or completion of any out of warranty repairs by a third party vendor.

Out of warranty in the US

There are several reasons why a device may be considered out of warranty.

1. Incorrect serial number: Please verify that you have entered the correct serial number (IMEI).

2. Warranty period has expired: Check the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty for length of warranty coverage. If you have a proof of purchase indicating that your device is within the warranty period, you will be able to submit your device to Microsoft for repair. A copy of the proof of purchase must be included in such repair cases. Please note that there are some exceptions to warranty. For example the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty does not cover liquid or physical damage, which may be discovered during repair.

3. Device was not designed for the US market: We do not have the capability to repair devices that were not designed for the US market. Please check the warranty information that was included with your device and/or contact your point of purchase. If you purchased the device in the US and you determine that your device came with a US warranty, please include a copy of your proof of purchase that confirms the device was purchased in the United States and a copy of the in box US warranty documentation when you send your device in for repair.
