Microsoft Pinnacle Awards Recognize Outstanding Microsoft Business Solutions Customer Achievements

Microsoft Corp. announced the winners of its ninth annual customer achievement awards, known as the Pinnacle Awards.

SAN DIEGO, March 9, 2005 — Microsoft Corp. recently announced the winners of its ninth annual customer achievement awards, known as the Pinnacle Awards. The customers and their partners were recognized at an exclusive luncheon during Convergence 2005, the Microsoft Business Solutions division's annual customer conference, held this year in San Diego. The Pinnacle Awards honor customers that have achieved outstanding success with their Microsoft® Business Solutions applications.

The Pinnacle Awards were presented in eight categories: Customer Service, Education, Evangelism, Fast Track, Financial Reporting and Budgeting, Innovation, Teamwork, and Overall Excellence. Nominated by Microsoft Business Solutions customers, partners and team members, the following customers were awarded the 2005 Pinnacle Awards:

  • Excellence in Customer Service. Land O'Lakes Farmland Feed LLC, The Orthotic Group and BGE HOME

  • Excellence in Education. Clemson University

  • Evangelism. Edwards Wood Products Inc., Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana Inc. and Oldcastle Precast Inc.

  • Fast Track Excellence. Clover Technologies Group and GO Software (recently acquired by VeriFone)

  • Excellence in Financial Reporting and Budgeting. HARRIS direct LLC and Westye Group -- Midwest

  • Excellence in Innovation. Brampton Fastener Co. Ltd., and Fins, Furs and Feathers Inc.

  • Excellence in Teamwork. Casey Family Programs, MarketLab Inc. and RoadTown Wholesale Trading Co.

  • Overall Excellence. The American Bible Society

About the Pinnacle Awards

The Excellence in Customer Service Award honors customers whose business management system helps them measurably improve the value and level of services delivered to their internal and/or external customers.

The Fast Track Excellence Award recognizes customers that have achieved significant results within the first year of Microsoft Business Solutions applications implementations.

The Excellence in Teamwork Award recognizes customers whose collaborative efforts in their organization, with Microsoft Business Solutions or with their partners, have produced a result that would not have been achieved without the collaboration.

The Excellence in Innovation Award recognizes customers whose innovative use of technology in their business management system delivers measurable benefits to their organization. Candidates for this award are judged on creativity, vision, and the overall results and benefits of their implementation.

The Evangelism Award is presented to customers that have demonstrated a strong commitment to their Microsoft Business Solutions technology and services. These customers not only evangelize Microsoft Business Solutions business management solutions, but are a source of continual feedback on Microsoft Business Solutions technology and services.

The Excellence in Education Award recognizes a special group of customers that, through their role in higher education, have greatly enhanced their students' learning experience by integrating Microsoft Business Solutions products into their curricula.

The Excellence in Financial Reporting and Budgeting Award recognizes customers that utilize analytical applications to discover insights into the financial performance of their organization, leading to enhanced profitability, streamlined operations and better management. Candidates for this award are evaluated on profitability improvement, operational performance gains and management effectiveness.

The Overall Excellence Award recognizes a customer that demonstrates extraordinary efforts in multiple Pinnacle Award categories.
