The Core Infrastructure Server (CIS) Suites are the simplest and most cost effective way to purchase a solution like a Microsoft private cloud. The CIS Suites are offered in two editions (Datacenter and Standard). Microsoft offers two ways to purchase the CIS Suites:
 
  • The Enrollment for Core Infrastructure (ECI): Designed for customers purchasing 25 licenses are more. ECI Customers benefit from a 20% discount relative to buying the products individually, and double Software Assurance points.
  • Other Volume Licensing Programs and Enrollments: Designed for customers who are purchasing less than 25 licenses and/or who do not purchase their Microsoft server and management products through ECI. Customers benefit from a 5% discount relative to buying the products individually.
