Forefront Endpoint Protection uses the same industry-leading antimalware engine as Microsoft Security Essentials to protect your employees against the latest malware and rootkits.  It uses highly accurate signatures along with behavioral detection techniques to protect against both known and unknown threats.  This engine has been highly ranked in independent third-party tests, such as those by AV-Comparatives and VirusBulletin, and noted for its low false positive rate.  

 

 

Forefront Endpoint Protection also helps prevent the exploitation of endpoint vulnerabilities until the appropriate software update can be applied. By providing deep protocol analysis of network traffic, it is able to identify and block attacks on vulnerable systems.  As soon as the system is up-to-date, the vulnerability shield automatically disengages.
