Windows Server 2012 introduces Hyper-V Replica, which provides asynchronous replication of virtual machines for the purposes of business continuity and disaster recovery.
In the event of failures such as a power outage, fire, or natural disaster at your primary site, you can manually fail over the production virtual machines to the server running Hyper-V at your recovery site. During failover virtual machines are brought back to a consistent point in time, the rest of your network can access the virtual machines within minutes with minimal impact to business activities and you can manually revert the virtual machines to the server running Hyper-V at your primary site, after the primary site recovers from the failure.
