      This workshop will introduce key Windows 8.1 features that will get you excited about upgrading or buying a new device running Windows 8.1. This workshop also features new built-in apps and great ones from the Windows Store and walks through how to be more productive with Windows 8.1.

      We'll show your students cool technology that will help them at school to create rockin' presentations. Using PowerPoint, they'll created advanced digital presentations, work together in teams, and grow their digital literacy skills. It's all based on STEM standards and ISTE principles. There's also a virtual tour of the Solar System using our amazing Worldwide Telescope. While your child is in the workshop, take a 30-minute course on topics such as online security, smart computing, and building a game with your child. The parent, legal guardian or authorized adult caregiver of every participant must remain in the Microsoft Store for the duration of the event.

      In this workshop, participants will learn the basics to keep themselves and their families safe online. Participants will also learn how to set parental controls for Windows 8.1, Bing and Xbox and get some great tips on how to talk to kids about online safety.
