- 12:00 PMMLK Day Live Stream with Ambassador Andrew YoungIn honor and celebration of Microsoft Community’s on-going mission of diversity and inclusion, we once again will be joining the nation in commemorating the historical significance and legacy of Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. January 14th to 18th, 2021. To celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK), stores will host an intimate virtual fireside chat with Dr. King’s close friend and confidant Ambassador Andrew Young. Ambassador Young will share his fondest memories of Dr. King from the early days, to planning marches to being by his side on the balcony the day he was assassinated.

By the end of this ninety-minute workshop students eight and older will have learned: what the key elements of a video game are. which STEAM careers and skills are involved in game design. to design basic elements of their own game. to create a video game with block-based coding. With the power of Bing, attendees will virtually visit, learn about, and visualize key locations known for their beauty, character, and charm during the winter months. At each location, attendees will be asked to explore and gather interesting information while using photography and images all sourced from Bing to complete and design their workbook within a winter theme. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have: Explored 4 iconic winter destinations Sourced images and facts online using their web browser and Bing Learned to build beautiful slides in PowerPoint using their downloadable workbook You will receive an email confirmation containing a Microsoft Teams link to join the workshop. Please check your spam folder as the confirmation email may end up there. For the best experience, please use Edge or Chrome Internet browsers to join the workshop.
