Rated 5 out of 5 by Chrissy Excellent value for Money
Having dragged myself into the 21st century technology I was apprehensive of acquiring a smartphone but am delighted with my recent purchase of this phone. Easy to understand, did not need the instruction book, checked a few things online and off I went. Could never understand why all generations were always glued to their smartphones but I have now discovered a mini laptop and can access and view everything in the palm of my hand. Lovely graphics, speed and comfort.

Seeing that technology has progressed to much in the last few years I am extremely disappointed with the phone.
Firstly you can't use your own music as ringtones (that is going back to the 1st phones that came out). Secondly the user manual doesn't explain the stuff properly.
I have followed every step of how to create your own ringtone with your music according to the manual and it doesn't work. The battery life is only half a day and I am not on the internet or on the phone a lot.
I got the phone as a gift because I liked the look of it. It is a complicated phone and for everything you want to do you need to download an application at cost to do it. If I had a choice I would return this phone and rather use another brand although I have been using Nokia phones for many years.
I have actually given up on trying to work this phone, even my son that usually gets me going on new phones couldn't sort my problems out for me.
It seems to me that you guys may have progressed by using Windows on the phone but all the other features are out dated. I have also checked for updates to see if it will change or help in every way but it doesn't.
Please sort this out soon or otherwise it will be a phone against the wall and no future Nokia recommendations from me to friends and family.

I've had this phone for around a month now and absolutely in love with it! The mango os is slick and smooth and it can take great photos! The big display is also great for video and games. For the price its an amazing device and I even convinced 2 of my friends with iPhones to switch to lumia! 9/10

A great Phone, does everything you want it to do at a fast pace, only problem is the battery, it only lasts about 1½ days, you can get it to last longer if you switch off wifi and other apps not in use, if a better battery was created it would knock the socks off the competition, its a pity you have to download zune to apply items to the phone as most other phones you just plug in, if you can put up with these two hiccups it is a great deal at the present prices.

Rated 3 out of 5 by npn27 very poor battery&GPS
Long story short,if you plan on using the phone a lot and you're not staying at home or your office make sure u carry the charger with u all the time! GPS is a bit off too and the internal memory is only8 &the camera has 5mp to offer with no HDMI! My last phone was a Nokia N8 so please excuse me if I miss the 12 mp cam,or 16 +32micro sd memory! Or the spot on GPS,HDMI and easy sync. This one looks&feels great and Has more apps but need tones of upgrades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ktduong89 good phone, easy to use, small battery
the Nokia Lumia 710 very easy to use maybe because it running Windows Phone 7.5 The operating system working very fast, for example: it took around 5 second to boot up, catch location quickly. I hope there are more useful apps on Marketplace and from official developer.
The design just look simple, can be customize with color back cover. The plastic doesn't feel cheap but it still make the phone look not impress much.
Sad thing, the battery is quite not good. I have to recharge after 1 and half day of use with Wi-Fi. I hope Nokia do better with battery in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by iDavid First class value smartphone
As an iPhone user since 2007, it was time to switch from expensive "art" to a practical device with few airs and graces. I'd always yearned for those bulletproof Nokias of old, but with bang up to date software.
Well, the Lumia 710 fully meets my expectations. The build is solid, the UI is clean and fresh, the browser is excellent, Exchange support is 100% and the app marketplace is growing fast.
OK I find the "social" messaging integration a bit tight (it's a long time since I was 14), but as a Win 7 business user I feel I'm in good hands with "Microkia". And with the Lumia 710 at around half the price of an iPhone, the business case is clear. Recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by trasnet cannot hear calendar reminders
The major reason i got a Nokia phone was that it connected to my Microsoft Outlook account. I use my calendar and set reminders. My phone would give an audible voluble and reasonably long alarm when a reminder was due, I do not have a secretary to remind me. This phone does not give an audible alarm it gives a quiet little bling which is easily missed. There is no way to set a more voluble and longer reminder sound. Nokia and Microsoft should be aware that a mobile phone resides in the pocket it is not like a computer monitor visible to the user, the reminder needs to be heard. I now have to go back to using my old mobile because this function is so critical to me.
