Information for Assistive Technology Manufacturers

The Microsoft Assistive Technology Vendor Program (MATvp) is a Microsoft program designed specifically to support assistive technology vendors (ATVs). The primary purpose of the program is to improve compatibility of assistive technology products with Microsoft products, and to help AT manufacturers best utilize the Windows platform for AT innovation. As a result, computer users with disabilities who rely on AT products will have better AT product solutions. Microsoft works more closely with the manufacturers of assistive technology products that are a part of this program.

Microsoft works directly with members of the program to prepare new versions of assistive technology products. Emphasis will be placed on products that will be announced or launched in conjunction with the release of Microsoft operating systems and applications.

Potential members interested in more complete details about the program and benefits of the Microsoft Assistive Technology Vendor Program (MATvp) should request an application and information from ablecat@microsoft.com. There are currently two open enrollment periods a year—November and April.
