To open the Ease of Access Center, press Windows logo key + U, or select:

  • Start
  • Control Panel
  • Ease of Access
  • Ease of Access Center

Under Explore all settings select:

  • Use the computer without a display.

Under Adjust time limits and flashing visuals, select:

  • Turn off all unnecessary animations (when possible).

  • Control Panel.

In Control Panel:

  • Select Internet Options.

On the Advanced tab, under Settings: Multimedia clear the checkmark from:

  • Play animations in web pages.

Assistive Technology Spotlight: HyperPages TouchBook

The Touch User Interface (TUI) technology is embedded in the TouchBook platform. The TouchBook cradles printed materials. The reader can touch the pictures, words and Braille on the regular printed-paper page and retrieve digital content or launch communication applications like e-mail, IM, and VOIP from a digital appliance like a computer. This technology turns the printed material into a remote control to digital content.
