Windows 7 has significantly improved the touchscreen experience. For example, buttons in Windows are now easier to tap with your finger, the touch keyboard in Tablet PC Input Panel is easier to use, new gestures make it easier to perform common tasks, and the redesigned taskbar makes it easier to access programs and files using touch input. Windows 7: Make the text on your screen larger or smallerYou can make the text and other items, such as icons, on your screen easier to see by making them larger. You can do this without changing the screen resolution of your monitor or laptop screen. This allows you to increase or decrease the size of text and other items on your screen while keeping your monitor or laptop set to its optimal resolution. Watch a video to learn how to make the text on your screen larger or smaller
Microsoft Internships Offer Students with Disabilities Opportunity to work with U.S. Federal GovernmentFor the past several summers, Microsoft has partnered with the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), the country's largest cross-disability membership organization, to offer internships to college students with disabilities. Each summer, Microsoft sponsors ten students with disabilities who have demonstrated an interest in a career relating to information technology. Those students are matched up with a federal agency for a 10-week internship that puts them in work situations where they might explore network design and administration, data management, programming and technology support, as well as Web design, maintenance, and accessibility. Read about these internships on the AAPD site.
