Microsoft® Office 97 includes accessibility features to make things easier to see on screen and to access with the mouse and keyboard.

Display and Readability

• Large Font mode—Increased font size allows people with low vision to see text more clearly.
• Zoom—Zoom capability up to 500% allows people with low vision to increase the size of content in Office documents.
• Large icons—Increased icon size makes it easier for people with low vision to view the icons.
• High Contrast mode—Allows people with low vision to see distinctions more clearly, including ToolTips.
• Keyboard support—Keyboard shortcuts provide an alternative to using the mouse for people who are blind or have low vision.
• Spelling aids—Word spelling checker includes context information in the Spelling dialog box for easy screen reader conversion. Users can also easily skip to the next questionable spelling by pressing ALT+F7.

• Keyboard support—Keyboard shortcuts provide an alternative to using the mouse for people who have limited dexterity.
• Large icons—Increased icon size makes it easier for people with limited dexterity to access targets with the mouse pointer.
• Microsoft IntelliMouse Support®Allows users to easily adjust their scrolling rate.

Sounds and Speech

• Visual and audible cues—Multi-modal cues allow people who are deaf or hard of hearing to get visual cues for audible actions.
