Formatting Web Pages Using a Custom Style Sheet

Advanced computer users can set Internet Options to display Web pages using a custom style sheet. Use the accessibility tutorial below to select this option.

Note:  When you specify a particular style sheet, that style sheet will be applied to all HTML documents you view, including some Microsoft Help files. WinHelp files will not be affected.

1 On the menu bar:
  • Click Tools.
  • Select Internet Options.
On the menu bar:
  • Open the Tools menu by pressing ALT+T.
  • Open the Internet Options dialog box by pressing O.

In the Internet Options dialog box:

  • If the General tab is not selected, click it.
In the Internet Options dialog box:
  • If the General tab is not selected, move to it but pressing CTRL+TAB.

On the General tab:

  • Select the Accessibility button.

On the General tab:

  • Select the Accessibility button by pressing ALT+E.

In the Accessibility dialog box:

  • Select the Format documents using my style sheet check box.
  • Select the Browse button.
  • Navigate to, and open, a saved style sheet.

In the Accessibility dialog box:

  • Select the Format documents using my style sheet check box by pressing ALT+D.
  • Select the Browse button by pressing ALT+B.
  • Navigate to a saved style sheet by using the TAB and arrow keys
  • Press ENTER to select the style sheet.
5 To save the settings and close the InternetOptions dialog box.
  • Click OK twice.
To save the settings and close the InternetOptions dialog box:
  • Press ENTER twice.
