Correcting Misspelled Words As You Type

In addition to correcting misspelled words, you can also use the AutoCorrect tab to:

  • Automatically correct two initial capitals.
  • Capitalize the first letter of sentences.
  • Capitalize the names of days.
  • Correct accidental usage of the CAPS LOCK key.

On the menu bar:

  • Click Tools, and then click AutoCorrect.

Open the Tools menu by pressing ALT+ T.

  • Open AutoCorrect by pressing A.

On the AutoCorrect tab:

  • Select the Replace text as you type check box.

On the AutoCorrect tab:

  • Press ALT+T to select the Replace text as you type check box.

Click OK.

Press ENTER.
