Show, Hide, or Turn Off the Office Assistant
As you begin working with Microsoft® Office 2000 programs, the animated Office Assistant, jumps in to offer helpful messages as you work. You can turn off the Office Assistant and use the keyboard to find help.

How to show or hide the Office Assistant
Note: Any options you change will affect the Office Assistant in all Office 2000 programs.

How to turn off the Office Assistant
Note: Any options you change will affect the Office Assistant in all Office 2000 programs.
If the Office Assistant is on your screen

| 1 | Right-click the Assistant icon. | To show the Assistant dialog box, press ALT+H, then H. |
| 2 | In the Assistant balloon, click Options. | In the Assistant balloon, open the Options dialog box by pressing ALT+O. |
| 3 | On the Options tab, click the Use the Office Assistant check box. Click OK. | On the Options tab, clear the Use the Office Assistant check box by pressing ALT+U. Press ENTER. |
If the Office Assistant is hidden
