Changing the Icon Size

Microsoft® Windows® 98 allows you to change the size of the icons displayed on your desktop. This can make the system easier to view and can reduce eyestrain.

Step	Mouse actions	Keyboard actions
1	On the Start menu, point to Settings. Click Control Panel.	Display the Start menu by pressing CTRL+ESC (or the Windows logo key). Move to Settings by pressing S. Select Control Panel by pressing C.
2	In Control Panel: Double-click the Display icon.	If the focus is not on Control Panel, press TAB. Move to the Display icon by using the arrow keys. Press ENTER.
3	In the Display Properties dialog box: Click the Effects tab.	In the Display Properties dialog box: Move to the Background tab by pressing SHIFT+TAB. Move to the Effects tab by pressing the RIGHT ARROW key.
4	On the Effects tab, in the Visual effects area: Click the Use large icons check box.	On the Effects tab, in the Visual effects area: Move to the Use large icons check box by pressing ALT+L. Select the check box by pressing SPACEBAR.
5	Click OK.	Press ENTER.

The Effects tab enables you to change the size of your icons.
