Changing the Position of the Magnifier Window

Magnifier is a display utility that makes the computer screen more readable by people who have low vision by creating a separate window that displays a magnified portion of the screen. Magnifier provides a minimum level of functionality for people who have slight visual impairments. Magnifier can be customized in several ways. This tutorial tells you how to change the position of the Magnifier window so it is more convenient on screen.

1 When Microsoft Magnifier is running:
  • Move the pointer over the Magnifier window.
When Microsoft Magnifier is running:
  • Make sure MouseKeys is turned on.
  • Move the pointer over the Magnifier window by pressing the arrow keys on your numeric keypad.
2 To move the Magnifier window:
  • Hold down the mouse button and drag the Magnifier window to reposition it.
To move the Magnifier window:
  • Press the INS key on your numeric keypad.
  • Drag the Magnifier window to reposition it by pressing the arrow keys on your numeric keypad.
  • Press the DEL key on your numeric keypad.
