Adjust cursor blink rate

You can change how fast the cursor blinks to reduce distraction or to increase visibility.

To open the Ease of Access Center, select:

  • Start.
  • Control Panel.
  • Ease of Access.
  • Ease of Access Center.

To open the Ease of Access Center, press:

  • Windows logo key Windows logo key+U.

Under Explore all settings, select:

  • Make the keyboard easier to use.

Under Explore all settings, select:

  • Make the keyboard easier to use by pressing TAB, then ENTER.

Under See also, select:

  • Keyboard settings.

Under See also, select:

  • Keyboard settings by pressing ALT+B.

On the Speed tab, under Cursor blink rate:

  • Select Cursor blink rate from None to Fast.

Note: The blinking cursor at the left of the dialog box will change as you make adjustments.

  • Select OK.

On the Speed tab, under Cursor blink rate:

  • Move to the Cursor blink rate slider by pressing ALT+B.
  • Select a setting from None to Fast by pressing the arrow keys.

  • Select OK by pressing TAB, then ENTER.
