Choose how long Windows notification dialog boxes stay open

You can adjust the time limits and flashing visuals including how long notification dialog boxes stay open.

To open the Ease of Access Center, select:

  • Start.
  • Control Panel.
  • Ease of Access.
  • Ease of Access Center.

To open the Ease of Access Center, press:

  • Windows logo key [image: Windows logo key] +U.

Under Explore all settings, select:

  • Use the computer without a display.

Under Explore all settings, select:

  • Use the computer without a display by pressing TAB, then ENTER.

Under Adjust time limits and flashing visuals, select:

  • An interval from the list for How long should Windows notification dialog boxes stay open from 7 seconds to 5 minutes.
  • Select Save.

Under Adjust time limits and flashing visuals, select:

  • An interval for How long should Windows notification dialog boxes stay open from 7 seconds to 5 minutes by pressing ALT+X and the arrow keys.
  • Select Save by pressing ALT+S.
